This is UNIT 6 in our LEVEL 1 online ESL curriculum, designed for use with young, beginner-level students who have basic but limited knowledge of English. The unit introduces the following:
- Vocabulary: My Clothes (shirt, skirt, dress, jacket, hat / pair of pants, shorts, shoes, socks)
- Sentence Patterns: What do you need? / I need a shirt. / Which shirt do you like? / I like this/that shirt. / I don’t like this/that shirt.
- Phonics: “Short a” vs. “Short e”
- Colors Review: Orange, Red, Yellow
- Numbers: 13, 14 (thirteen, fourteen)
- Shapes Review: Oval, Rectangle, Diamond
There are ten 25-minute lessons in this unit that introduce the target vocabulary and reinforce it through short stories and fun interactive activities. There is also a short homework assignment at the end of each lesson to reinforce the concepts taught.
The unit comes in both .edb format (interactive and with draggable elements; for use on ClassIn) and .pdf format (static and without draggable elements; for any platform).
