This is UNIT 2 in our LEVEL 1 online ESL curriculum, designed for use with young, beginner-level students who have basic but limited knowledge of English. The unit introduces the following:
- Vocabulary: My Family (mother, father, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, baby, big/little)
- Sentence Patterns: Who is he/she? / He/She is my brother/sister. / What is it? / It’s a ___. / What are they? / They’re ___.
- Phonics: Short /e/ (egg, elephant, hen, web)
- Colors: Blue, Green
- Numbers: 4, 5, 6 (four, five, six)
- Shapes: Star, Heart
There are ten 25-minute lessons in this unit that introduce the target vocabulary and reinforce it through short stories and fun interactive activities. There is also a short homework assignment at the end of each lesson to reinforce the concepts taught.
The unit comes in both .edb format (interactive and with draggable elements; for use on ClassIn) and .pdf format (static and without draggable elements; for any platform).
