LEVEL 0 – Unit 1 (“Greetings”)

This is Unit 1 in our Level 0 online ESL curriculum, designed for use with young students who have no background (or a very limited background) of English. The unit introduces the following:

  • Vocabulary: Greetings (hi/hello, bye/goodbye, wave, boy, girl, friend)
  • Sentence Patterns: “What is it?” / “It is a…”
  • Letter: Aa (apple, ant, alligator)
  • Shape: Circle
  • Color: Red
  • Number: One (1)

There are ten 25-minute lessons in this unit that introduce the target concepts and reinforce them through short stories and fun interactive activities. The unit comes in both .edb format (interactive and with draggable elements; for use on ClassIn) and .pdf format (static and without draggable elements; for any platform).
